Sophie Kennedy Clark – ‘Harriet’ / Producer

Sophie Kennedy Clark is an actress and producer originally from Aberdeen, Scotland.

Sophie’s first big break as an actress came when she starred as David Tennant’s eldest daughter in the television series Single Father. Next, she went on to do theatre in London’s Southwark Playhouse in Eight Women and had appeared in a handful of projects including “The National Anthem” episode of Black Mirror.

In 2013 Sophie played ‘B’ in Lars Von Trier’s Nymphomaniac Vols 1 & 2 and the young Philomena in Stephen Frear’s Philomena, for which she won a Scottish BAFTA for Best Actress. Sophie’s other credits include Dark Shadows, Stonehearst Asylum and The Danish Girl. More recent credits include Lucid, Go North and BBC One drama The Cry.

Most recently Sophie was awarded ‘Best Actress’ at the 2019 National Film Awards for her performance in the British independent drama Obey, and starred as Madonna in the latest series of Sky Arts Urban Myths.

In 2018, Sophie produced and starred in the short film Gutterpunks.

Emily Haigh Bio

Emily Haigh – ‘Sarah’

Emily Haigh is an English actress born in Devon. Her love for acting began at an early age.

In 2009, Emily landed a role in the BBC’s hospital drama, Casualty – a show she was asked to return to four years later. In 2011, Emily was cast as Georgiana Reed in the Oscar nominated feature film Jane Eyre.

Emily was awarded the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) Gold Medal.

At 18, Emily made her directorial debut with the short film, Dead Wrong, which received an exclusive screening at the Lee Strasberg Institute.

Emily produced and cast Golden Globe nominee Tobias Menzies as the narrator for The Velvet Abstract. She then landed the lead role and later joined as producer for The Inuring. The film went on to win 20 Awards, five of which for Best Actress, awarded to Emily for her leading performance.

Emily’s third film as writer/director, Beautified, a visually striking short, is currently on the festival circuit and has won 23 awards to date, including Best Short Film and Best Director.

Kate Dickie – ‘Val’

Kate Dickie is a Scottish actress acclaimed for her work in both mainstream and independent film.

Perhaps best known for her role as Lysa Arryn on the HBO smash-hit series Game of Thrones, Kate is also known for her portrayal of the security camera operative Jackie, in her starring debut Red Road (Dir. Andrea Arnold), for which she received several awards for Best Actress in 2006, including at the BAFTA Scotland Awards and the British Independent Film Awards.

In 2016 Kate starred in The Witch (Dir. Robert Eggars), the most successful independent film of that year and also won her second BAFTA Scotland for her performance in Couple in a Hole (Dir. Tom Geens).

Kate’s other film credits include Outcast, Filth, Prevenge and Prometheus (Dir Ridley Scott). She also has numerous TV credits including; The Pillars of the Earth, The Frankenstein Chronicles, One of Us, The Cry and Peaky Blinders.
